I mentioned CSS earlier, but due to the ease of the system there are very few good books on the topic. If you really want to part with your cash, you could do much worse than Cascading Style Sheets: The Definitive Guide, by Eric Meyer. Eric has written a few pieces on CSS, and they all tend to be quite good.

For general practical PHP programming hints and tips, the PHP Cookbook by David Sklar and Adam Trachtenberg is a good enough way to get new ideas, but the current edition is a little dated - perhaps a new release will come out to bring it up to scratch.
